With GSB Membership, Warkworth Private Kindergarten reduced their costs and improved the quality of their drinking water - an important aspect when it comes to hygiene and care for young children.
The Situation: Frustrations with the current water cooler system
For years the staff and students at Warkworth Private Kindergarten were drinking from an old water cooler machine that was irregularly serviced and had to be refilled manually.
Jeanine Billington, owner and director of the kindergarten, was concerned about the quality of their water and the costs of their current solution. She thought; there must be a better way!
"The machine we had didn't have a built-in plumbing system, so I had to refill 15 litre bottles myself from the tap," says Jeanine.
"We needed a company that would take full responsibility of maintenance and cleaning so I would have the most hygienic and efficient system available to the staff and children."
The Challenge: Getting the best water cooler system at the best price
Warkworth Kindergarten wanted to find a water cooler company to cater to their specific needs of their students and staff, while also being efficient and cost effective.
"Sourcing the right solution was really important to me - I didn't want to stick with the same company I had. They weren't doing a good enough job," says Jeanine.

Stan Likovs, Strategic Development Manager of Sparkling Spring explains, refill systems, like the one Warkworth Kindergarten have been using, are considered a hygiene hazard due to a lack of control systems.
Possible water contamination sources can result in biofilm formation or microbiological contamination of the water, which can make the water unfit for human consumption. 
"Since speaking to Jeanine, we knew the health and safety of the staff and kids was very important so we assured her our machines are always cleaned regularly and have advanced multi-stage built-in filtration systems, which means the kids will drink the healthiest water possible," says Stan.
The Solution: Better service, quality water and significant savings
Warkworth Kindergarten now use Sparkling Spring for their water as they fulfil each requirement of cleanliness, price point and great customer service.
The kindergarten is saving 39% per year on their water coolers with Sparkling Spring and they have had their machine's settings customised by switching off the hot water dispenser to avoid the studentsfrom burning themselves.
"With Sparkling Spring I don't have to worry about a thing. They come to service the machines, on time, every six months," says Jeanine.
The plumbed in option suggested by Sparkling Springs also means Jeanine no longer has to worry about continually filling the bottles with water and loading the machine herself.
"With GSB membership we're making savings we never were with our old water cooler company. We now have more money to spend on more important things like supplies for the kids' education," says Jeanine. |
