Powershop is offering GSB Members the opportunity to benchmark their existing power bill with Powershop's rates.

"All we need is their business' latest power bill," explains McCarroll. "From there we can estimate their annual average unit price and let them know how much they could expect to spend on electricity over the next year."

With offices in Auckland and Wellington, GSB consumes an average of 170,000 kWh of power each year - that's over $34,000.

"We realise our business is using a large amount of power, so we put Powershop to the test. It's a great way to show our members how much they can save through our power supplier," says Royle.

The Results

Powershop did their magic and produced real savings for GSB.

"We were pleasantly surprised when Powershop estimated we could save around $2,000 over the next year," says Royle. "That's a 6.5% saving we can invest back into our business."
